We want to become more! The Swerim Metals Research Institute conducts industry-oriented research and development on metals and their path from raw material to finished product. We are 200 employees in two locations in Sweden - Luleå and Stockholm. Our vision is a fossil-free and circular industry.

As one of the employees in our workshop hall, you will be an important cog in our team and work independently in support of the research organization. Within the Pilot and Demo business area, to which you will belong, just over 40 employees work, in Luleå and in Stockholm. We who work in the business area are mainly technicians, industrial electricians, instrument engineers and project engineers / researchers.
Who are you?
You are a workshop mechanic or equivalent with at least 3-5 years of experience in relevant tasks. It is important that you know and enjoy turning as much of the work involves manufacturing test objects in difficult materials.
The work includes:
* manufacturing of test rods and other components
* building parts for specialized equipment
Your skills:
* Workshop experience, 3-5 years experience
* CNC experience with programming
* Turning, mainly guided machining. Our machines have systems from Haas, Fanuc and Okuma
As a person, you are curious, responsive and committed and contribute to a positive and inclusive work climate. You are easy to collaborate, take your own initiative and are curious and easy to learn. You like variety and see a challenge in solving problems in a structured way. Furthermore, you are a person who is thorough, orderly and quality conscious. It is also natural for you to support colleagues with your technical skills and experience.
