We want to become more! The Swerim Metals Research Institute conducts industry-oriented research and development on metals and their path from raw material to finished product. We are 200 employees in two locations in Sweden - Luleå and Stockholm. Our vision is a fossil-free and circular industry. We are looking for a manager who wants to be involved in developing both employees and research in the energy and environment group within the Metallurgy business area. Your role will be to contribute to the development of metallurgical processes through close collaboration with industry to create industrial benefits. Work tasks As a Group Manager at Swerim, you will be responsible for research, development and your team. We perform contract research and contribute with expertise and strategic advice to the steel industry. We collaborate closely with companies, public actors, universities and colleges on common challenges in Sweden and internationally. The team consists of 10-12 researchers and experts, who use well-equipped test halls and collaborate with technicians in the practical parts of the assignments. You will report to the Business Area Manager for Metallurgy and collaborate with other group managers within Swerim to jointly develop the business and operations. We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong background in research and development where your experience from industry and institutes is a strong advantage for the role. In addition to leading your team, you will also actively generate, participate in and drive research projects, where your scientific background and industry networks will come in handy. Who are you?
