Swerim is now strengthening its finance function and is looking for a committed Project Controller who wants to contribute to developing and streamlining financial processes in a research-driven organization. In this broad and varied role, you will work closely with project managers, executives and researchers to ensure business acumen and profitability. About the role
As Project Controller, you are responsible, together with your colleagues, for developing and improving the profitability and business acumen of the business. The role is broad and the work includes, among other things, continuously supporting and coaching project managers, managers and researchers in financial issues, guidelines and regulations. It also includes tasks such as project controlling, financial accounting and follow-up, and reporting to funders.
You are part of the finance function and report to the CFO.
The position is located at Swerim's offices in Stockholm or Luleå, with flexibility to work remotely one day per week.
About you
To succeed in the role, we believe that you have a university degree in economics and a few years of experience in financial work. Good knowledge of accounting as well as experience in following up and analyzing project activities we see as relevant background for the role. Experience of working in project accounting systems and in grant-funded project activities is an advantage.
As a person, you are responsible and structured and have a drive to improve working methods and processes. You are a team player with good communication skills who thrives on having a central role with many contacts, both internally and externally. You thrive in an environment where you can develop and at the same time appreciate contributing to the development of others and where your curiosity keeps you updated in your field of expertise.
You write and speak fluently in Swedish and English.
