We want to become more! The Swerim Metals Research Institute conducts industry-oriented research and development on metals and their path from raw material to finished product. We are 200 employees in two locations in Sweden - Luleå and Stockholm. Our vision is a fossil-free and circular industry. You will be involved in developing the industry's production systems through theoretical, experimental and practical work on issues prioritized by the industry. About the position As a researcher, you will develop, lead and participate in research projects in close collaboration with our industrial partners in an advanced research environment. You collaborate both with researchers within Swerim and with other research groups nationally and internationally. The work is very varied and independent, which may mean that the assignments and work area may change over time. You will mainly work with: * Project management and project generation * Development of metallurgical processes and systems * Development of resource efficiency (materials, energy, environment, costs) * Experimental activities at pilot and industrial scale * Contact with customers and other stakeholders Who are you? You have a scientific/technical academic degree with a focus on metallurgy, chemical engineering, energy engineering, engineering physics or equivalent preferably with at least 5 years of relevant work experience. It is advantageous if you have a PhD and can show published research results in areas relevant to the research area as well as expertise in process development and measurement technology. We will place great emphasis on industrial experience, strategic thinking and experience in applying for and receiving research funding. The work is conducted in an international context and therefore it is important that you have a good ability to communicate in speech and writing in English. Qualities As a person, you have the ability to drive work forward independently as well as to collaborate closely with colleagues in teams. We are looking for you who are curious, outgoing, easy to work with other people and sensitive to your surroundings. You work with foresight on a business basis with high integrity and scientificity. Furthermore, you are responsible, able to structure and prioritize work effectively.
