Your mission/About the role

As Property Manager at Umeå Energi, you will be a key player in shaping and developing our real estate portfolio. In the role, you will have overall responsibility for strategic development, long-term value creation and sustainable management of our properties and land areas. We are looking for you who want to drive innovation and create profitability in real estate issues in a rapidly changing energy industry, while acting as an important link between internal and external stakeholders.

Your tasks

  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for the Group's real estate portfolio and land use.
  • Ensure top-class property management, with a focus on sustainability, digitalization and energy efficiency
  • Drive projects in new construction, renovation and maintenance, from needs analysis to implementation and follow-up.
  • Responsible for premises supply planning, including calculations, needs analysis and drawing up leases.
  • Manage budget and forecasting work and ensure that property owner responsibility is followed in accordance with laws and regulations.
  • Act as the face of Umeå Energi in real estate issues and build networks locally and regionally.

The team:

You report to the area manager for Business Support and Development and are part of the management team for the same area. You will work in close collaboration with our Infrastructure performing organization and teams, where collaboration and dialogue are crucial to reach common goals. Your role also involves building strong relationships across the group to ensure strategic and efficient real estate work.

We are looking for you who have

  • Relevant college or university education in, for example, economics, construction technology or an equivalent field.
  • Documented experience as a leader and budget responsibility and experience of change management.
  • Good experience of the client role, with knowledge of LOU/LUF and construction law.
  • Good understanding of real estate economics and knowledge of real estate technology.
  • Good ability to work in administrative IT support systems and to communicate clearly in Swedish, both written and orally.
  • B-driving license

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Additional education in leadership or property-related areas such as property management or property economics.
  • Experience in systematic self-monitoring work
  • Experience in project management
  • Knowledge of the development of sustainable property solutions and energy efficiency improvements.
