About the role The energy industry is currently undergoing a major change where digitization and data are becoming increasingly central to driving development forward. As Product Owner (PO) for our Data Analytics & Data Warehouse team, you play a key role in this change by driving the development of data-driven solutions that support Umeå Energi's ambition to become a more data-driven organization and contribute to the energy transition. In this role, you will be involved in many of the strategic moves that Umeå Energi needs to make to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future. You will work in an agile team consisting of developers, analysts and external consultants, where you are responsible for prioritizing and realizing business needs within BI such as data analytics and data warehousing.

Your tasks:

  • Defining and communicating the vision for data analytics and data warehousing solutions.
  • Creating and managing product backlog with prioritized user stories and technical requirements together with the team.
  • Ensure the team delivers business value through data-driven insights and solutions.
  • Act as a bridge between technology and business - gathering and transforming business needs into data-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
  • Explore new technologies and opportunities for innovation in the BI space.
  • Help the business both understand why and how to use data to drive insights and improvements.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

  • At least a few years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or equivalent in IT or analytics.
  • Experience with agile working methods (Scrum, SAFe or Kanban)
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and prioritize the backlog efficiently
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and driving data-driven initiatives.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Advantageous experience:

  • Certification in Scrum (CSPO), SAFe or similar.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, SSIS, SSAS or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of AI and advanced data analytics.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Jira for backlog and sprint management.
  • Knowledge in BI, data warehousing (DWH) and data platforms.
  • Experience in driving increased use of data in the business through training, inspiration and support.
