Your mission

We offer you a very varied and responsible position with great influence. Our operations and investment projects are an important part of societal development with a clear contribution to achieving Umeå's climate goals and a more circular Umeå.

You will belong to the project office at Umeå Energi, which is growing and developing in the expansive phase we are facing - within the Umeå Eco Industrial Park and but also our existing facilities. In the team we have a mix of both experienced and younger project managers where you always have a colleague to interact with.

The service involves project management of our own project portfolio with various plant projects in our production and distribution of heating and cooling in Umeå Municipality. The tasks are varied with control of several investment projects in different phases. It involves active management of feasibility study, planning, implementation and completion together with internal and external project participants towards defined functional goals based on given conditions for time, economy, work environment, environment.

In the role, you will coordinate all project efforts, communicate, follow up and report progress, continuously document and hand over to operations and summarize experiences. You will have frequent dialog and meetings with internal and external project participants and stakeholders. Conduct site visits and have an interactive dialog with colleagues for knowledge and experience sharing.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• Technical education at least at upper secondary level.
• Several years of experience in a role as project manager for construction or industrial projects, where you have had overall responsibility for the project from start to finish.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English both in speech and writing.
• B driving license.

Advantages:

• Civil engineer or university engineer in Energy, Mechanical or Construction.
• Experience from heating, cooling, energy production as well as distribution.
• Training and application of ABK/AB/ABT
• Training BAS-P/U according to AFS 2023:3
• Training AMA and MER
• Project experience from other specialist roles than project manager.
