Your mission

As a senior project manager, you will lead the new construction of a sorting facility at Dåva, in the heart of Umeå Eco Industrial Park. By sorting and recycling materials, the facility will reduce the need for incineration and reduce CO2 emissions. The project is an important step in achieving Umeå's climate goals and a more circular Umeå.

The role involves multidisciplinary project management covering both early stages and implementation, with technical scope such as land, construction, plumbing, electrical, process, control and regulations etc, from idea to commissioning.

In the role, you will lead:

• Pre-study phase with scope management, project organization, requirements compilation, prerequisites, alternative solutions, risk management, cost and investment calculation, etc.

• Planning phase with design of selected construction and process solution, permit management, land issues, tender documents and procurement of performers.

• Implementation phase with the realization and production of the designed plant with the fulfillment of designed requirements regarding technology, materials, environment, work environment, etc. within given financial and time frames.

• Closing phase with handover and commissioning, summarizing the project's outcome against project goals regarding function, costs, times, documentation and experience feedback.

The role includes working with the project organization to manage ongoing project administrative tasks with time management, financial management, risk management, legal requirements, deviation management, documentation, reconciliation and forecasting, as well as periodic reporting of the project situation to clients and stakeholders.

You will be an important part of our internal project office, where a dedicated team works to drive industrial and construction projects from start to finish.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• High school education in a relevant technical field - Energy, Construction, Electricity, Plumbing, Process etc, or comparable competence through professional experience as a project manager.

• Well versed in the industry rules for construction law (ABK09/AB04/ABT06), AMA and MER and the AFS work environment regulations.

• We see that you have your own experience as a project manager for large multidisciplinary industrial new construction projects, with various sub-projects included, where you need to have had some projects of at least SEK 100 million in project budget.

• Experience of project management from start to finish, (from feasibility study to handover and closure)

• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.

• Strong knowledge of the Office package.

• Good knowledge of MS Project, PowerProject or equivalent.

• Driving license.

Advantages:

• Experience of large projects in thermal energy and/or waste management.
• Good experience of business systems such as IFS, SAP.
