Working as a chef with operational responsibility As an Operations Chef, you will be responsible for leading and planning the work in the kitchen and you will play a key role in creating high-quality meals. Together with your colleagues in the kitchen, you create a pleasant meal environment for our diners. You will work closely with both colleagues and diners, helping to maintain the high quality of our service. Our kitchens are a place where every dish we serve is a chance to make a difference, whether it's food for pre-school children or for our elderly. We constantly strive to improve both flavors and work processes to make meals the best they can be. This particular position will be located at Kungsgården production kitchen at Grubbe. A kitchen located in a newly built preschool and which is expected to prepare about 1000 portions daily, of which 200 are served on site to the preschool's 8 departments. The rest is delivered to other kitchens. You will work in a team with four colleagues to create tasty and nutritious meals and support other kitchens in the area as needed. At the start-up of the kitchen, you will contribute, together with the unit manager, to creating routines and working methods for the kitchen. Your tasks Planning and preparation of meals, including special diets Leading and planning the joint work of the kitchen Self-monitoring and invoice management Ordering and purchasing raw materials and consumables Washing dishes and maintenance of both kitchen and equipment Liaising with receiving units, the pre-school and colleagues When hiring, an extract from the police's criminal record must be presented, due to the law on suitability control. About you We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in food and who are passionate about creating tasty, healthy meals. We believe you have an education in leadership and in your experience as a chef have been responsible for leading others in the kitchen and that you are a person who is happy to contribute ideas to develop and improve the business. We want you to have: A documented chef training, secondary education or other equivalent training.
