Within Real Estate, we are responsible for acquiring, managing and closing down premises for municipal operations. Today, we manage just over one million square meters in the form of schools, health and care facilities and cultural and leisure facilities. Real Estate is divided into 4 sectors: Building and Property Technology, Property Management, Property Operations and Administration and Strategic Support. Building and Property Technology is responsible for the construction and maintenance planning of premises for which the municipality is responsible, such as preschools, schools, nursing homes and group homes. The scope of construction is approximately SEK 800 million per year. We work actively together to develop our business and strive to be Umeå's most professional builder. We now need to strengthen and expand our competent team in Construction and Real Estate Technology. Therefore, we are looking for two brave and experienced construction project managers who are interested in contributing to good social development within Umeå municipality! Your work tasks As a Construction Project Manager within Construction and Building Technology, you will, together with nice and knowledgeable colleagues, have a varied work with many exciting and varied construction projects underway. In the role, you will have the opportunity to independently take responsibility for the implementation of construction projects, lead and follow up both major and minor investment and remodeling projects. You will have the opportunity to be involved throughout the process, from investigation to final inspection and handover to operation - an exciting journey from a holistic perspective! About you To deliver, contribute and thrive in this work, we look for you to have: - a university degree with a foundation in civil engineering, or other education and experience that we consider equivalent. - a handful of years of experience in construction project management in construction and/or installation contracts or equivalent skills. If you have experience of plumbing and/or experience as a client in the public sector, this is an advantage. We also consider it important to have a good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing as well as a B-driving license in order to be able to effectively move between properties and partners. For us, it is important that you are a structured and proactive person who has a good ability to plan, organize and prioritize. The assignment requires you to be able to handle changing conditions that may arise in a construction project and make appropriate decisions by utilizing both your own and other employees' expertise. You are flexible, solution-oriented, have good communication skills and are good at collaborating with different activities and actors.
