The Upper Secondary School and Adult Education Board is responsible for the municipality's obligations under school legislation for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education, special education for adults and Swedish language teaching for immigrants. The board is also responsible for vocational rehabilitation and for municipal refugee reception. Adult education in Umeå municipality is responsible for issues relating to study and vocational guidance and adult education. Education is provided both in-house and through procured providers. Adult education offers studies in SFI, basic and general courses, vocational training and special adult education at basic and upper secondary level. Umevux is now looking for a coordinator to join our team! Duties and responsibilities In the role of Adult Education Coordinator, you will act as a management support in several areas. You will be part of a team that works, among other things, with the production of analysis and statistical data, application and reporting of a large number of government grants, admission, ongoing student management and reporting to external clients such as Skolverket, CSN and others. You will strengthen our team in finance and admissions. Together with a colleague, you are responsible for extracting and calculating financial data for financial follow-up and reconciliations, as well as producing and processing statistical data. You will also work as an admissions officer. As an admissions officer with us, you will handle advanced administration with varying tasks, including student administrative tasks linked to the admission process in municipal adult education. The work involves exercising authority and the process means that you handle applications and make assessments regarding the student's eligibility for education. In addition, you will eventually support managers in adult education in the work of updating and following up on annual wheels and creating a structure for information that facilitates the daily work of the business. You will ensure that the staff concerned receive the information they need to carry out their tasks. The position places high demands on flexibility and the ability to work in a changing environment. In the work, you will have contact with authorities, municipalities, education providers, and other staff within Umeå municipality. The position may also include other administrative tasks. About you We are looking for you who have an academic degree from a field that the employer considers relevant, such as study and career guidance, economics, etc. We see that you have at least one year of work experience with current experience of investigation, administration in admission or other exercise of authority. In addition, you have current experience of managing and developing processing procedures and processes. To thrive with us, it is important that you can quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of work, have very good analytical skills and high quality awareness. The work is periodically carried out under time pressure and requires good planning and prioritization skills. You should also be able to take initiative and adapt to a fast-paced working environment. The role requires a high level of integrity, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a solution-oriented and unpretentious manner. You have very good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing. To succeed in the work, you need to be confident in making decisions under time pressure and have very good communication skills, both written and oral. We therefore see that you have relevant experience of investigative and administrative work and the exercise of authority in the form of decision-making. It is important that you are comfortable dealing with contacts at different levels within and outside the organization and that you thrive in a role where you provide support and service to students and prospective students. You will have a solid experience of working digitally - and thus have a good knowledge of the Office package. In addition to the above, we see it as a merit if you: have experience in assessing and processing both basic and upper secondary qualifications within national admissions have experience of working to deadlines involving performance with a high production capacity have a good knowledge of one of the IT tools used by the department, such as Edlevo and Office 365 Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
