With us, you will have an important role in planning and implementing the expansion of the Port of Umeå incl. deepening of the fairway into Umeå to meet future transport needs as a result of an expanding industry. In addition, it includes participating in several other exciting development projects in the port.

Umeå Hamn's mission is to enable efficient and sustainable transport for the region's business community. Umeå Hamn AB is a municipal company that owns and manages the port's facilities such as quays, railway tracks and cranes. Umeå Hamn AB is a subsidiary of Umeå Kommunföretag AB. The Port of Umeå is operated by the subsidiary Kvarken Ports.

The Port of Umeå is one of the largest ports in the northern Nordic region with an annual cargo handling of about 2.5 million tons. Half of the products that pass through the port come from the forest such as kraftliner, wood products and more. A number of construction and development projects are currently underway in the Port of Umeå. Funding is provided by Umeå Hamn AB and the EU.

Your mission

As a client support at the Port of Umeå, you are the face of the project and are responsible for leading and following the progress of the project. You will, together with project managers from INAB:

• Project manage different types of construction and civil engineering assignments with responsibility for finances, times, scope and quality.
• Responsible for the preparation of procurement materials, conducting procurement and evaluating tenders.
• Manage the project's deviations, reporting and follow-up.
• Responsible for contact with authorities and compliance with applicable requirements and legislation.
• Ensure that BAS-P and BAS-U are appointed by the contractor and consultant.

Qualifications

Extensive experience from:

• Water operations
• Environmental assessments
• Piling
• Piling
• Bracing
• Class 1 Concrete construction
• Submerged casting
• Mortar work
• Paving operations
• Geotechnical knowledge

• A minimum of 10 years' experience independently managing construction or civil engineering projects with responsibility for time, cost, quality and completion.
• B-driving license.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge and practical experience of consulting and construction law and public procurement would be an advantage.

You understand business strategies and priorities, and apply this knowledge to achieve goals. You set goals for projects and create motivation in others to perform to high standards.
