The Umeå School of Culture has a wide range of activities, including courses, projects in schools and open activities. We reach about 2,000 children and young people around Umeå every week and aim to reach more! We offer activities in a number of aesthetic subjects and now want to add the subject of dance to our range. We are about 80 employees in Kulturskolan's activities and we have the mission to reach all children and young people in Umeå, in both their local and school environment. We work actively to create the conditions for our target group to become more involved in the activities of Kulturskolan. We are now looking for a dance teacher who can lead the subject dance. Please state in the application how many percent you wish to work. Your work tasks You will lead dance groups in schools, in leisure activities and in educational programs at various schools in Umeå. You will also have holiday activities for children and young people in Umeå municipality. About you We are looking for you who are a dance teacher or dance educator or have equivalent artistic education with documented experience from educational work. You have experience of working in projects and/or courses for children and young people. You have good communication skills and enjoy bringing projects to fruition. It would be an advantage if you also have training in working with children with special needs. To succeed in the assignment, you have a good ability to adapt the activities based on the needs of the students. We are looking for you who want to be a social and human role model with an understanding of all people's differences, both cultural and social. You are open and curious and prepared to constantly develop your methods together with your colleagues. You are a good leader with a strong sense of cooperation, initiative and flexibility.
