The Upper Secondary School and Adult Education Board is responsible for the municipality's obligations under school legislation for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, municipal adult education, special education for adults and Swedish education for immigrants. The board is also responsible for vocational rehabilitation and for municipal refugee reception. Your work tasks As an assistant principal, you work on behalf of the principal. You will have student and staff responsibility for the Social Studies program, which means responsibility for about 220 students and 19 employees. At present, you are also responsible for the library staff, which consists of five people. You are part of the Dragon School management team and report to the principal. The tasks delegated may change over time. Examples of tasks that may occur are: quality assurance of teaching student health work staff management staff planning, recruitment and rehabilitation performance and salary reviews systematic work environment management About you We are looking for you who have a higher education in education, preferably with a focus on upper secondary school. If you have experience of educational work in upper secondary schools, it is an advantage. We would like you to have experience as a school leader / principal or manager. If you do not have this, we want you to have led or coordinated colleagues in development work in another way, or you have attended recruitment training or internal trainee program for future school leaders. We are looking for you who have a clear vision for the upper secondary school and can inspire and engage staff, students and guardians to strive towards common goals. You are a good relationship builder who listens to and fosters good relationships with staff, students and parents. You actively contribute to cooperation and collaboration within the management team to which you belong. It is important that you have a good ability to organize and plan activities in a way that promotes learning and development. You will also need to have clear and good communication skills and have the courage to make decisions and stand by them in relation to pupils, staff and guardians.
