About the assignment as an exploitation engineer
As a development engineer, you are offered an exciting job with great opportunities to help shape an attractive Umeå. You will represent the municipality as a property owner and manage working groups for both large and small development projects in various phases. You will have overall responsibility from planning in early stages to completed development, which means, among other things, that you:
conducting feasibility studies of prospective development sites and participating in detailed planning working groups
leading and participating in working groups on various investigation issues, both within Land and Development but also together with other activities
produces economic analyses and calculations for management and is responsible for the financial follow-up of development projects
orders and is responsible for consultant studies, draws up land allocation and development agreements, participates in land surveys and orders infrastructure development
represents the municipality as a landowner, where negotiation and establishing contacts are important elements
ensures the progress of development projects in terms of time, cost and quality
You will have the opportunity to work broadly with real estate issues from both legal, financial and technical perspectives. The work includes both strategic and more operational tasks, which together mean that you are involved in influencing Umeå's future!
About you
We are looking for you who have a degree in civil engineering with a focus on surveying, civil engineering, roads and water or other academic education that we consider equivalent. It is an advantage if you have a few years of work experience from surveying, real estate development or construction or project management of contracts, but it is not a requirement.
You are a person driven by a desire to work in a goal-oriented way and achieve results. You are analytical, structured, solution-oriented and a good negotiator. You will be a self-starter, able to work independently as well as in a team and able to establish and maintain good relationships. A very good ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing is a prerequisite, as legal documents are drawn up in the service. We believe that you will thrive with us if you like the mix of tasks that require innovation and development focus as well as tasks of a routine nature.

You should have a driving license.
