The education administration includes preschool, compulsory school, upper secondary school, adult education, labor market and integration. The administration is governed by two boards, the preschool and compulsory school board and the upper secondary and adult education board. The education administration is led by the Director of Education and has a total of approximately 5,500 employees. The Education Administration's offices employ around 70 people in management, finance, HR, legal affairs, development, communications, premises planning and secretariat. The Education Administration's finance unit currently has 11 employees. Our task is to work together to create the conditions for good financial management and to support our managers and politicians with good decision-making data in the financial area. Your tasks As an economist in a team, you will work with follow-up, budget, financial statements and with forecasting and analysis tasks. You will largely work in Excel with various calculations and resource allocation models. In your role, you will present financial data and support principals, leaders and managers in financial matters. You will be an important support to both the financial manager and the heads of operations in these areas. Through your work, you get close to the operations and become part of developing the school in Umeå. The work is flexible and there are great opportunities for you to plan your own work. About you We are looking for you who have a master's degree in economics or the equivalent and preferably a few years of experience working as an economist or controller. You have very good knowledge of Excel and good knowledge of the other applications in the Office package. We would like to see that you have experience of financial or follow-up systems - for example Hypergene, Visma or similar. Your personal qualities are important and we want you to be communicative, thorough and structured and have good analytical and pedagogical skills. It is important that you can explain economics in an educational way to those who are not economists. In dialog with various stakeholders, you are responsive and unpretentious.
