Therefore, Umeå municipality is looking for you from the age of 16, who want to work as a language supporter in Finnish, the Sami languages and Meänkieli. As a language support worker, you will act as a language ambassador in activities for children and young people. Your tasks As a language support worker/language ambassador, you will carry out various activities with children and young people in Umeå municipality. You are part of a team of staff who plan and organize different activities such as language showers and cultural activities for children and young people. All activities are carried out during evenings, holidays or vacations. If you are offered and accept the position of Language Support Worker/Language Ambassador, you will receive an introduction to the role. You will also receive guidance and support from a mentor in the planning, organization and implementation of the various activities. About you Umeå municipality is looking for people who meet the following criteria Good linguistic and communicative ability in one of the three national minority languages. Demonstrated formal competence in linguistic competence. Commitment to issues related to the national minorities.
