Umeåregionens brandförsvar works with accident prevention and rescue services in the municipalities of Umeå, Vindeln and Robertsfors. The fire brigade has a full-time station in central Umeå with about 80 employees and nine RiB stations with about 150 firefighters on standby and two fire brigades. Together with 16 other municipalities in Norrbotten and Västerbotten, we are part of the joint rescue management system Räddningssamverkan Nord. We are currently in an exciting development phase where we are building another full-time station in Umeå and plan to expand our workforce in the coming years. In connection with this expansion, we will also conduct a major review of our organization in order to create the best conditions for conducting our business now and in the future. Your tasks You will mainly work with preventive tasks such as supervision under the Act on Protection against Accidents, permit processing and supervision under the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods, as well as responding to referrals and other issues relating to rescue services, structural fire protection, community planning and risk management. Depending on your skills, background and personality, there may also be the opportunity to be part of our emergency response operations as an officer, work with response planning or be involved in the investigation and evaluation of accidents and operations. About you We are looking for people who are service-oriented and enjoy meeting other people. In your work you are professional, thorough and structured. We also believe that you have a great commitment and drive and with a desire to develop and improve our business. We are looking for you who have a fire engineer degree, Supervision A or other experience / education that the employer considers relevant to the task. We are positive if you have Supervision B and worked in municipal rescue services, but it is not a requirement, but personal suitability will be highly valued. Are you a fire engineer, but have not studied the RUB year? Do not hesitate to apply if you are interested. RUB is a merit, not a requirement. You have very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. A driver's license, qualification at least B is required.
