Are you the one? The authority exercise in support and care has about 270 employees who, with different competencies, are responsible for investigating and following up interventions for adults, children and young people.
We are now looking for unit managers for investigation SoL adults (+18 years) with a focus on addiction, crime and domestic violence. The unit currently employs about 30 social workers and 1 group leader who are responsible for investigations and follow-up of initiatives under the Social Services Act (SoL) and in some cases the Care of Addicts Act (LVM) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU). As the unit has grown, we now need to make two working groups, each with a unit manager.

Your work tasks
In the area of exercising authority, quality work is underway that aims to coordinate efforts and meet the individual and their needs with different competencies. This means that if you are interested in the assignment, you will be part of an important change process. Part of the development of coordination also means that we must change and work closely together in the exercise of authority to create the conditions for new ways of working. This means that this particular assignment will be formulated in the direction of the new coordinated exercise of authority.
Your contribution will be to lead your employees towards the target image in close cooperation with other units and management colleagues.
As head of unit, you have employer responsibility for operations, finances and staff. You have overall responsibility for ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with the laws, regulations and guidelines that govern operations. Together with your employees, safety representatives and management colleagues, you work continuously with work environment issues and for a good work environment in the unit. The role also includes running, planning, evaluating, analyzing and developing the business area to meet the needs and future challenges of the target group. You will be assisted by support functions in areas such as finance, quality and work environment. You will take part in various networks and working groups linked to your assignment and play an important role in ensuring good collaboration with other units/activities both within and outside the municipality.

You will be part of the Deputy Head of Operations' management team.
About you
You are interested in both leadership and social work and focus on the benefit to citizens. To succeed in the role, you are a present manager and a clear role model. You are responsive, structured and have the ability to harness employees' driving forces, resources and desire for development. You create good relationships and trust by being clear and having a respectful approach where you create mutual trust with your employees. You attach particular importance to a good climate of cooperation both internally and externally.
You should be a social worker or have other equivalent training. You have several years' experience of working in the social services, exercising authority. Previous experience of working as a unit manager and leading in a politically controlled organization is an advantage. If you have not worked as a manager, you need to have led/coordinated colleagues in development work/processes or attended an internal trainee program for future managers.
