Digitalization for safe, independent and sustainable elderly care In Umeå municipality's elderly care, a purposeful and exciting development work is underway where digital solutions play a central role. What does the role involve? In this position, you will have a varied and important assignment. You will work primarily with individuals in their homes, installing technology, providing support and creating security around its use. Examples of tasks: Programming, installing and adapting digital equipment, such as welfare technology, social alarms and digital locks Provide practical support and training to users of technology, in a simple and educational way Collaborate with home care, home nursing and care home staff. Collaborate with activities such as systems management, digital transformation and IT, and suppliers Participate in projects, tests, procurements and communication Manage service, support, documentation and ongoing administration You'll be an important link between technology and people - ensuring that solutions work where they're needed most: in everyday life. About you We are looking for you who have a post-secondary education with an IT focus, or equivalent experience in the technology field that the employer considers equivalent. You have a genuine interest in technology, both hardware and software, and are curious about new systems and platforms. Previous experience in similar tasks would be an advantage, preferably in combination with some project management. Experience with working via computer and digital tools is a given. Since some of the work has a more practical character, it is also important that you are no stranger to handling simpler tools or technical equipment during, for example, installations. In addition to technical knowledge, we attach great importance to your personal qualities. You are a problem solver who sees opportunities where others see obstacles. You are driven, service-oriented and communicative, both in speech and writing. You enjoy working in a team, but are also comfortable working independently, directly with the individual user. Since the work takes place close to people, it is important that you are educational, responsive and flexible, and can adapt both your language and your working methods to individual needs and conditions. The service requires a B driving license as you will be working in the field. It is an advantage if you have experience of similar assignments and work in health and social care.
