We are now looking for a committed landscape architect who can contribute to developing Umeå's green structure and public spaces. The position is a temporary position for one year. Main work tasks Your main tasks are planning, development and design of public spaces in the city, parks and nature. You can, for example, participate in plans and studies, act as a client in the design of new and rebuilding. You will also be involved in physical planning, contributing your expertise to various types of assignments and projects within the municipality. The role also involves project management of smaller projects and consultancy assignments, collaboration and dialog with citizens. As a landscape architect, you will be part of the parks department's team, which is led by the head of parks operations, who also has the title of city gardener. The department consists of five landscape architects, five landscape engineers, two climate adaptation strategists and the head of the municipality's own park operations. Together you coordinate and plan the development and operation of the municipality's parks and residential nature. About you We are looking for you who have a master's degree in landscape architecture, preferably with a few years of experience in the profession, but it is not a requirement. If you have experience in project management, design, cost estimation or coordination and dialog processes, this is an advantage. As a person, you are creative and want to contribute to the development of our business. You have an interest in working on the development of urban environments for the benefit of citizens and long-term sustainability. You see it as a challenge to work in a city that is evolving and therefore constantly demands renewal and change.
