Holmsund Library is one of the local libraries in Umeå municipality with library services and cultural programs for residents of Holmsund. Holmsund's library is a combined public and school library and contacts with the area's schools and preschools are frequent and intensive. In collaboration with various associations, we offer programs for adults and children of different ages during the semesters. Our mission is to be cultural meeting places that are accessible to everyone both physically and digitally. The activities will work for the development of a democratic society and will reach new target groups through cooperation with others. The libraries will work to increase awareness of the importance of good reading skills and digital literacy. We strive to have an organization that is characterized by diversity. Your tasks You will perform the usual duties of a librarian, including media handling and working at the information desk as scheduled. You will also be responsible for planning and implementing programs and exhibitions for different target groups - children, young people and adults. The position includes evening and Sunday work on a rotating schedule. About you We are looking for you who have an academic degree in library and information science and previous experience of library work. You have an inclusive approach and the ability to create good meetings. You enjoy working in an outgoing manner with a focus on a high level of service. You enjoy meeting people of all ages and have no problem speaking in front of large and small groups. You are good at working with others and can also work independently.
