The leisure administration in Umeå municipality wants to contribute to a good living environment by creating good opportunities for active leisure with sports, exercise, recreation and public health. Its area of responsibility includes the operation of sports and leisure facilities, leisure, excursion and recreation areas, facilities for leisure boats and initiatives in leisure fishing and outdoor recreation. Navet is Umeå's largest swimming pool and adventure pool in the city center with about 50 employees. In summer, the staff is also distributed to the outdoor pool Umelagun. Umelagun is a temperate outdoor pool adjacent to the beach of Nydalabadet and is located at the northern end of Lake Nydala. We are now looking for more proud colleagues who want to work as a bath host with us at Navet. You will be part of a wonderful team that works to provide good service and good treatment to our visitors. You will either work at Navet or during the summer at Umelagun. Your tasks As a lifeguard, your main task is to ensure a safe environment for our visitors. Your duties will include lifeguarding, cleaning our facilities and providing customer service in everything we do. You also work at our reception where you are the face of our visitors, answering the phone, selling subscriptions, one-time entries and goods from our shop. Work in the pool restaurant is also part of the job. You act as a link between the customer and the rest of the facility and should enjoy having many balls in the air, want to help and meet many people. Sometimes the pace is high so we believe you are stress-resistant and can keep calm in situations where unexpected things can happen. On some shifts you will work alone so it is important that you feel comfortable working under your own responsibility. About you We are looking for you with experience from service work and cashier experience. You have swimming and life-saving skills and have training in CPR and D-HLR. Meritorious for this position is if you have experience working with children, as a swimming teacher and at a swimming facility. It is also an advantage if you have cleaning experience and/or have worked with our booking system BRP. We also look favorably if you have training in any of the following: Medical care Lifeguarding Pool lifeguarding Lifeguard Swimming instructors Food and beverages Swimming skills are a requirement and during the recruitment process you will have to undergo a work test consisting of falling into deep water and then swimming 200 meters of which 50 meters on your back and dive down to 4 m deep.
