The municipality's home care service provides various forms of support, service and care in the home. We are the unit that handles all care services where our users live in their own homes in Umeå municipality. Most of our staff are assistant nurses who we continuously train. The home care service is also responsible for responding to and handling social alarms that occur at night. At the home care service in Tavelsjö, you will be met by a friendly group of staff who travel together in the event of double staffing, otherwise you travel yourself in your own car. Cars are available on site, but you need to be able to get to our home service premises yourself where we gather before the work shift starts. Your work tasks You will carry out planned interventions in the person's own home and the type of interventions needed will vary for the elderly. Commonly, you will support personal care and hygiene, meal situations, cleaning and socializing. The work also includes giving medicines and documenting health conditions. About you We are looking for you who have experience working with nursing. It is an advantage if you are a trained care assistant or assistant nurse. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. You enjoy working independently and have good computer skills. As a person, you have high integrity, are responsive and empathetic. You are able to work well with colleagues and other professions. You show great commitment to both users and the organization in all relationships and actions. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medical delegation, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. As there may be animals in the workplace, you should not be allergic. Working hours are day/evening and weekend. The service requires a B-driving license and is based on premises in Tavelsjö.
