The Umeå North Short-Term Care Center is home to the majority of short-term care places for the elderly. The operations are rehabilitation-oriented with a clear goal that the patient should be able to return to their ordinary home as soon as possible. The premises have 66 rooms spread over four floors. There is also a gym adapted for rehabilitation. An occupational therapist and a physiotherapist work on each floor. The rehabilitation staff at Umeå norra korttidscenter are organized under home care. Your work tasks As an occupational therapist, you are responsible for the assessment, implementation and follow-up of occupational therapy measures aimed at enabling the patient to return to ordinary housing. You will supervise health and social care staff. The work also includes writing documentation for assistance officers for assistance decisions. You prioritize and organize your workday both independently and together with other professionals such as physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, nurses, nursing staff and assistance officers. Most of the work is carried out at the Umeå North Short-term Care Center, but you also make home visits to ensure a safe and secure return home for the patients. About you We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. If you have previous experience of short-term activities, home care or geriatric rehabilitation, it is an advantage, but we also welcome you who have other work experience or you who have recently graduated.
