Fastighet represents Umeå Municipality as a property owner and is tasked with acquiring, managing and decommissioning premises for municipal operations. We manage more than one million square meters of schools, health and care facilities, cultural and leisure facilities and more. Real Estate is divided into four departments: Construction and Property Technology, Property Management, Property Operations and Administration and Strategic Support. Right now we are looking for an operations engineer with a focus on energy optimization and heating systems for property operations! Your work tasks As an Operations Engineer with us, you will have a key role in optimizing our properties with a focus on heating, cooling, electrical and ventilation systems. Special focus will be on heating systems. You will be part of a dedicated team where your expertise contributes to energy-efficient solutions where you will work with, among other things, adjustments and replacement of products. The role also includes assessing needs, planning and project managing measures in VS systems and revising routines for cleaning and degassing of heating systems. Together with the other engineers, you will also participate in energy mapping of properties and you are part of Fastighets energy management group. The tasks also include occasionally participating in training and informing groups about heating systems and energy. About you We are looking for you who have a relevant technical education in HVAC, energy, property management or equivalent knowledge from professional experience in the relevant field. You have previous experience of operational issues in the real estate sector with a focus on optimizing HVAC systems and you also have previous experience of working in control and monitoring systems. You will have experience in calculating and dimensioning flows, power, valves and pumps. As a person, you are structured with good administrative skills and you express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing. You are used to documenting and following up your work and you are confident in using Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point). You have an interest in new technologies and methods and you enjoy sharing your knowledge within the organization. As the position involves a lot of contact with our own operational staff, businesses and contractors, you will need to be service-oriented and responsive with good communication skills. As you will have a lot of freedom to solve the challenges you face in your work, we also believe that you thrive in a role where you can be responsible and independent The position requires a B driving license.
