People under the age of 65 who have a disability and extensive needs for support and assistance can apply for personal assistance. A personal assistant helps someone with basic needs, such as eating, dressing, washing and communicating. The assistance is individually adapted and aims to increase the opportunities for people with disabilities to live an independent life. Your tasks You will support and assist a female user with ALS by helping her in her daily life. She needs help with usual care tasks, mucus suction, cough machine, probe and communication via sign and sound. About you We are looking for you who are responsive, respectful and calm. If you are a trained nurse or have experience of personal assistance and nursing work, it is an advantage. Meritorious is if you also have experience of ALS, palliative care and probe. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. The work requires you to have good judgment and personal maturity. You will also need to be able to work independently and take your own initiative. The personal chemistry between you and the user is important, so personal suitability is highly valued. As the user has pets, you should not be allergic to fur animals.
