The city planning administration with its 200 employees consists of the departments of building permits, detailed planning, land surveying and environmental and health protection. Mission statement As Head of Planning, you will lead the municipality's detailed planning towards the future and ensure security and attractiveness in physical planning. You participate in meetings with the municipal board's planning committee and take joint strategic responsibility for an appropriate community planning process across administrative boundaries. As Head of Planning, you have operational and financial responsibility for the department, as well as personnel responsibility for two heads of unit, two coordinators and a business developer. The heads of unit in turn have staff responsibility for 12 employees each (planning architects, map engineer and architectural historian). Under the direction of the Director of Urban Planning, you will be responsible for the basic physical planning tasks of the Planning Board. You will be part of the management team and several internal and external networks. About you We are looking for people who have: Relevant academic degree. Solid experience in the field of spatial planning. Good knowledge of planning and building legislation. Proven experience as a manager with responsibility for personnel, finance and work environment. You express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and English. As a leader, you are confident, clear and open to dialog. You possess courage and have a good ability to inspire others, create commitment and participation and create conditions for development. You focus on the benefit to citizens and maintain a close dialog about goals and expectations so that all employees understand their role and importance for the whole.
