Work tasks As an elementary school teacher in the staff pool, you work towards a number of selected schools outside central Umeå. You have an important role in ensuring high-quality teaching while getting a varied and developing work. In the role, you will meet many different children and adults and become part of the staff group at the schools you work at. As a teacher in the staff pool, you will be booked as a substitute in the schools in your area when regular staff are absent. During the working day, you will carry out your regular duties, with a focus on teaching the curriculum. Each school is primarily responsible for providing planning for your teaching during the time you work there. The scope and detail of the planning may vary between schools, which means that your subject knowledge and pedagogical experience are important tools in your daily work. Your duties will include, among others: Individualizing teaching. recording pupils' attendance writing any incident reports. Working hours and schedule Weekly working hours: 40.5 hours (on-the-job time) + 5 hours (pre- and post-work). Scheduled hours: Monday to Friday, 08.00-16.30. School holidays: Your working hours will be partially scheduled during the school holidays to allow you to be available for the school holidays. To compensate for this, your summer leave will be extended in August. About you You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment, structure and context for all students. You are well versed in the school's governing documents. You differentiate and vary teaching based on the needs of the students. You share your knowledge and experience to contribute to collegial learning. Building good relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents is an important part of the teaching role. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
