Mariehem preschool is located at Mariehemsskolan, close to Mariehemsängarna, playgrounds, Nydala outdoor area and Umeå University. Here there are five age-divided departments that work based on "the competent child". Nordstjärnan Preschool at Mariehem is a preschool that, together with a nursing home, forms a unique collaborative building in Umeå. The preschool has four departments with an outdoor and indoor environment that is playful and joyful. In the immediate area there is access to forest and nature. Your work tasks You will be responsible for educational development, staff and finances for the Nordstjärnan and Mariehem preschools. About you We are looking for you who: have a university degree in education, preferably with a focus on preschool have experience of pedagogical work in preschool preferably have experience as a principal If you have not worked as a principal, we want you to have led/coordinated colleagues in educational development work, assisted the principal in management assignments and/or you have completed preparatory recruitment training or the municipality's internal trainee program for future school leaders. We are looking for you who can inspire and engage the staff in the preschool to strive towards common goals. You promote good relations between staff, children and guardians and also actively contribute to cooperation and collaboration within the management team you belong to. You are a role model in shaping the activities based on fundamental democratic values. It is important that you have a good ability to organize and plan the preschool's activities in a way that promotes learning and development. You also need to have clear and good communication skills and have the courage to make decisions and stand by them in relation to staff and guardians. Don't forget to attach a cover letter and CV.
