The education administration is responsible for preschool, preschool class, compulsory school, adapted compulsory school and after-school care in the municipality. Preschools and compulsory schools in grades F-6 are divided into two geographical areas, Southwest and Northeast. Grades 7-9 are a single area. Each area is led by an area manager. Bräntbergsskolan at Mariehem is a school for pupils in grades 7-9. The school is located next to Mariehemsängarna, close to Bräntberget, Nydala and Gammlia. Our competent and qualified teachers develop the pupils' knowledge and skills with a strong focus on increasing their self-confidence and self-esteem. Bräntbergsskolan also has a resource school for students with autism spectrum conditions. Here, pupils are given the opportunity to develop their social skills and awareness of their disability, which aims to create the conditions for independence. Your tasks As Headteacher, you have ultimate responsibility for your groups of students and staff. The school has around 150 students and 30 staff. The role of Headteacher involves, among other things: leading and coordinating the educational work of the school quality assurance of teaching student health work staff management staff planning, recruitment and rehabilitation employee and salary interviews overall systematic work environment management You are part of a leadership team for all school leaders in the municipality's upper secondary schools and report to the area manager for 7-9. You focus on the benefit to citizens and engage in dialog with your employees about goals and plans so that they understand their role and importance to the whole. It is also important that you stand for common values and are a role model for your colleagues. You encourage your staff to be curious, creative and collaborative, and make both the individual employee and the team visible. About you We are looking for you who have a university degree in education for the later grades. We also want you to have experience of educational work in primary school, preferably in later grades. If you have experience with students in need of special support and NPF, it is positive. Perhaps you have experience as a manager/school leader and have completed the principal program. If you have not worked as a school leader before, you must have led and coordinated colleagues in educational development work or completed an internal trainee program for future school leaders or recruitment training for future school leaders. We are looking for you who have a clear vision for the school and can inspire and engage staff, students and parents in working towards common goals. You are a good relationship builder who fosters good relations with staff, students and guardians. You also actively contribute to cooperation and collaboration within the management team to which you belong. It is important that you have a good ability to organize and plan the school's activities in a way that promotes learning and development. You also need to have clear and good communication skills and have the courage to make decisions and stand by them in relation to pupils, staff and guardians.
