Ersängs skola is located in Östra Ersboda and is a multicultural F-9 school that is divided into several smaller schools. In total, there are about 360 students at the school. There is also a customized primary school focusing on subject areas and resource classes for the entire municipality. Ersängs skolan is one of Umeå municipality's training schools, which means that during the academic year we receive student teachers on their practical training, VFU. We are now looking for a resource teacher to join our team! About the role of resource teacher: As a resource teacher in the flex team, you will work closely with students, their guardians and school staff. Your goal is to create a safe and inspiring learning environment where every student is given the right conditions to participate in the class community and develop in their learning. Your main duties: Work flexibly to support pupils with SEN and contribute to increasing pupil attendance. Plan, implement and monitor pupils' work together with other school staff. Support pupils in their development and learning by clarifying and organizing their school day. Establish and maintain good relations with pupils and their parents/guardians to ensure a safe and stable school experience. Where necessary, meet or collect pupils at their homes to support positive school attendance. Collaborate with different partners to provide the best possible support to pupils and their guardians. Who are you? We are looking for someone who is flexible, empathetic and solution-oriented. You have experience working with children and young people, preferably in a multicultural context. You are a person who builds strong relationships and has a natural ability to collaborate with colleagues, guardians and external stakeholders. You have completed upper secondary education. You preferably have a further education qualification. Have experience working with children and young people from different cultures and with different mother tongues. You are confident, unpretentious and easy to build new relationships. You have the ability to work in a structured way while being flexible in your everyday life.
