Are you the one? Pupil health services in pre-school and primary schools work in teams consisting of a school nurse, a school counselor, a school psychologist, the school's special education teacher and the principal.
The main role of the school health service is to promote health and prevention, at individual, group and organizational level, to support pupils in achieving their educational goals.
We are now looking for two full-time school counselors and one school counselor at 50% for pre-school and primary school.
Your tasks
As a school counselor, you help ensure that all students achieve their educational goals and develop socially and emotionally in an environment that promotes learning. On behalf of the principal, you work with health promotion and preventive measures and investigate and assess obstacles to learning in the student's environment, based on a psychosocial holistic approach with the student in focus.
As a school counselor, you make assessments on how the psychosocial interventions should be implemented. Furthermore, you work for early detection and early intervention for students who are in danger, students in socially vulnerable contexts and students who show signs of mental illness together in the interdisciplinary team. You contribute to the school working to promote health and prevent mental illness, discrimination, harassment and abusive treatment, as well as supporting and collaborating with school staff in student cases of a psychosocial nature.
About you
You have social worker training and have worked with children and young people as a school counselor in primary school. We would also like you to have experience of MI.
It is important that you have a holistic perspective on children's learning and development. You must have the ability to create good relationships between children, young people and adults, but also between different authorities or actors such as schools, family homes, social services, etc. You see great value in working together with different professional competencies. You are expected to be confident to stand in front of groups and provide information and have a dialog, as part of the assignment is to be out in class and staff groups. The assignment requires flexibility in the professional role and we are looking for you who are responsive, clear and communicative. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Travel is included in the service so you must have a B driving license.
As a result of the law on suitability control, an extract from the police's criminal record must be presented upon employment.
