Pupil health services in primary and lower secondary schools work in teams consisting of a school nurse, school counselor, school psychologist, special education teacher and principal at each school unit. We are now looking for a school counselor who will have a shared service, 50% as a school counselor at school and 50% in Team school presence. Your tasks In your role as a school counselor, you will work to promote the physical and mental health of students in the school environment in collaboration with the school's student health team, staff, students and guardians. You will work according to established directives and policy documents. You will participate in health promotion, prevention and remedial work at individual, group and organizational level from the psychosocial perspective. The school attendance team consists of a counselor, special education teacher and development manager, who handle cases on behalf of the principal when the principal reports a decision to initiate an investigation of absence. The team supports the principal, student health and teachers in the work of investigating and analyzing the causes of problematic school absence. The team works with schools to promote and prevent absenteeism, focusing on protective factors, and is responsible for monitoring school absenteeism at the principal level, coordinating adequate efforts from various actors and proposing relevant measures. About you We are looking for you who have a degree in social work. You have a good ability to work independently and thrive on administering and taking responsibility for your work tasks. You need to have good self-leadership and the ability to be flexible, as the school's mission is multifaceted. You will need to be a good team player, as you will be interacting in a team with other professions and with other authorities. We would like you to have previous experience of working in a school or with tasks that can be considered equivalent. You have a strong commitment to the health of children and young people. We would like you to have experience in MI. You will work in many different contexts, which also requires you to have good planning and flexibility in your work. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Travel within the municipality is included in the service so a driving license is a requirement.
