Solgården's care home is centrally located in Hörnefors, about 3 miles south of Umeå, close to both the center and green areas. Solgården has a total of 32 apartments divided into 2 units. Each unit has common areas for food, conversation and activities. Exhibitions by local associations contribute to a good indoor environment. The property also has a beautiful courtyard with fruit trees and berry bushes. Large patios, balconies and small footpaths provide opportunities for enjoying the outdoors. In order for our nursing staff to be able to focus more on nursing, we are now looking for you who are interested in working with the surrounding chores that are also available at our care homes. Your work tasks Waste management: Collect garbage from the wards to the garbage room (occurs at least 2 times per day / unit) Goods handling: Receive food, sort and distribute to the units. Mail delivery: Deliver mail and newspapers to the residents. At mealtimes, collect food trolleys for the units and then return the food trolleys to the intake (lunch and dinner for each unit). Cleaning: Clean residents' rooms, laundry room, office, staff room kitchen. Laundry: Wash residents' clothes and staff clothes. Managing staff clothes: handing out clothes to new staff members. Manage some emergency outdoor chores e.g. shoveling snow to bring in supplies and emptying the dumpster. Maintaining outdoor furniture, taking in and out, and bringing out flower boxes. About you We are looking for you who have experience of working in elderly care. The work as a service resource is an active work where lifting and movements occur daily, a good physique is therefore required to cope with the tasks. If you have training as a service resource, it is an advantage. As a person, you have the ability to prioritize and work independently while being careful in your work. You enjoy interacting with people during your working day and find it easy to cooperate with others. To be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, you need to have a good knowledge of the Swedish language. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
