Östra Ersbodaskolan is a small, dynamic school with preschool classes up to and including grade 3 and a training school. It has competent staff and pupils from many different cultures. Your tasks As a social educator, you work with social and relational tasks in after-school and school. This is done in close cooperation with other staff at the school. You work for a good learning environment and you support and motivate students' learning and school development. You will create a safe environment for students during breaks, after school and in classrooms. The work includes providing structural support and adaptations for students in teaching situations. You will also relieve staff in conversations and contacts with students, guardians and other partners. About you We are looking for you who have a university degree as a social worker, behavioral scientist, educator or similar education. You have an understanding of the school's mission and experience with students whose mother tongue is not Swedish. You need to be flexible and a stable person who can work with both adults and children. You build good relationships with students and have good empathic skills. You find it easy to cooperate and communicate with colleagues, guardians and other collaborators. We believe that you are a person who adapts and finds solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal. You take active initiative in social contexts, step forward and easily create new relationships, are confident in uncertain contexts, stand up for your own opinions, have the courage to speak up and have the ability to distinguish between the cause and the person. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to lead and motivate students and set goals and direction for the organization. You have the ability to plan and organize your work in a successful and sustainable way and you have the ability to set goals, organize resources, follow up and close activities.
