Your work tasks You teach students from preschool class to year 9 in South Sami. Students receive 120 minutes of instruction each week. Teaching in a language shower four times per school year is included in the assignment. It is an itinerant service and pupils receive local teaching (alternatively distance teaching) at the pupil's home school from preschool class up to year 3. From year 4, this may mean that the pupil receives their teaching at another school. We offer a bus pass for travel between Umeå Municipality schools. Distance learning can be included in the service within the municipality's peripheral schools for pupils from year 2. The work as a mother tongue teacher includes planning, implementation, grading and evaluation of the teaching you carry out based on the Swedish curriculum. You are never alone as we work together to develop teaching based on our three keywords language, culture and identity within the framework of our Language Hub; a language hub that brings together the national minority languages from the small child to the almost adult. About you You are fluent in spoken and written South Sami and have experience of working with children and young people. We would like to see that you have educational training and experience. We are looking for you who, together with colleagues, want to contribute to strengthening the quality of teaching in national minority languages.
