Hagaskolan in central Umeå is a F-9 school with adapted primary school and hearing activities. We have about 600 students and 100 educators at the school. The team consists of a school nurse, counselor, psychologist, special education teacher, special education teacher, study and vocational counselor, resource teacher and principal. We are now looking for a special needs teacher specializing in Swedish and English! Your work tasks You will work as a special needs teacher specializing in Swedish and English in grades 7-9. You will work individually and in groups with students in need of extra support. In your work, you provide teachers with tools and contribute to knowledge about different support measures and what is a good learning environment. As a special needs teacher, you will conduct educational assessments and draw up action programs. You participate in equal treatment and SKA work, and are part of the school's student health team, document in Prorenata and have contact with parents. As a special education teacher at Hagaskolan, you will be part of a team consisting of a special education teacher in mathematics and a special education teacher. Together, in addition to providing special education interventions to students and supporting teachers, you will also work closely together in the team and with the principal to optimize the special education efforts. About you We are looking for you who are a trained teacher and special education teacher in Swedish and English grades 7-9. You have previous experience as a special education teacher where you taught students, conducted educational investigations and formulated action programs. As a person, you are flexible, clear and structured. You enjoy working with children in need of special support as you are a very important part of their school day.
