Are you the one? Ersboda adapted primary school is located at Östra Ersboda and Ersängsskolan.
Ersängsskolan is located at Östra Ersboda and is a multicultural F-9 school. In total, there are around 360 pupils at the school. There is also an adapted primary school specializing in subjects in grades 1-6 and resource classes for the whole municipality. We have one of Sweden's best school libraries and nearby there is a football pitch and adventure playground. Östra Ersbodaskolan is a small, dynamic school with preschool classes up to and including year 3, as well as adapted primary school years 1-5. Competent staff and pupils from many different cultures work here. There are good opportunities for outdoor activities. A library, football pitch and electric light trail are right next to the school. The school is located in the residential area of Östra Ersboda, where many cultures and nationalities are represented.
Hagaskolan in central Umeå is a F-9 school with adapted primary school grades 1-6 and hearing activities. We have about 600 students and 100 teachers at the school. We have access to a full-time IT educator on the school campus and we constantly use technology as a tool in learning.
Carlshöjdsskolan is located in a quiet area, close to forests and green areas. All students receive training in outdoor activities. The school is a multicultural F-6 primary school and adapted primary school. There are approximately 350 pupils and the staff is divided into five teams. Our well-trained and committed teachers work to ensure that all pupils enjoy school and succeed in their studies.
We work together to ensure that children and young people develop and have a secure upbringing. The curriculum of the adapted primary/special primary school contains five subject areas that we work with: Communication, Motor Skills, Understanding Reality, Everyday Activities and Aesthetic Activities. We support children and young people to live an independent life based on their individual circumstances. We have Sweden's most important job - our mission is to give young people faith in the future.
We are now looking for you to work as a student assistant at our schools!
Your tasks
You will work as an assistant/resource in a class in adapted primary school together with other resources and educators. As a resource in an adapted primary school, you will be present in the class to support the pupil in their learning, develop their language, experience engagement and develop autonomy (self-determination). You help the pupil to have the conditions to participate in collaborative learning, in different teaching situations, in the peer community, in everyday activities and in society.
You work in close collaboration with your team and other educators at the school. Tasks may include helping pupils with the support they need in all learning situations in classrooms and other premises. It also includes being a helping hand in eating and toilet situations. It also includes accompanying and supporting swimming lessons.
About you
We are looking for you who have an upper secondary education and we would like to see that you are a trained accommodation supervisor, assistant or childminder. We are looking for you who have experience of working with children with an intellectual disability. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of AAC, AAC and accessible learning environment and have experience of working with students in NPF and students with epilepsy and in need of lifting aids.
You are a confident adult and a good role model. You also have an ability to connect with students. You see each individual and create a safe environment in the school and collaborate with others to achieve set goals. As a person, you are flexible, clear and structured. You enjoy working with children with special needs as you are a very important part of their school day. You have good interpersonal skills, are responsive and have an easy time communicating and interacting with pupils and other key professionals in the target group. We attach great importance to personal suitability.
As a result of the law on suitability checks, an extract from the police's criminal record must be presented upon employment.
