Navet is Umeå's largest swimming pool and adventure pool in the city center with about 50 employees. In summer, the staff is also distributed to the outdoor pool Umelagun. Umelagun is a temperate outdoor pool adjacent to the beach of Nydalabadet and is located at the northern end of Lake Nydala. Aquarena is located in Storsjöhallen, which is located in Holmsund. The swimming pool operates for schools and the general public. It is a wellness facility that constantly strives for improvement and development. The pool has become known as a pleasant and personal family pool. There is an adventure section with a number of attractions and a 25-meter pool that is widely used by associations, schools and the general public. The facility also has its own restaurant with a strong focus on sustainability. Gyms and group training are widely used, with a wide range of wellness options. We are now looking for several new colleagues who want to work as a lifeguard with us this summer at Navet/Umelagun and Aquarena. You will be part of a wonderful team that works to provide good service and good treatment to our visitors. You will either work at Navet/Umelagun or in Holmsund at Aquarena. Your work tasks In the role of bathing host, you work primarily to ensure a safe environment for our visitors. Your duties include, among other things, bathing surveillance, cleaning of our facility and customer service through everything we do. You also work at our reception where you are the face of our visitors, answering the phone, selling subscriptions, one-time entries and goods from our shop. Work in the pool restaurant is also part of the job. You act as a link between the customer and the rest of the facility and should enjoy having many balls in the air, want to help and meet many people. Sometimes the pace is high so we believe you are stress-resistant and can keep calm in situations where unexpected things can happen. On some shifts you will work alone so it is important that you feel comfortable working under your own responsibility. About you We are looking for you with experience from service work and cashier experience. You have swimming and lifesaving skills and we would like to see that you have lifesaving training and pool lifesaving training. For the job, CPR training and D-CPR are required. We would also like to see that you have cleaning experience. We would like to see that you have food training and/or health care training Experience of swimming facilities and lifeguard training or swimming teacher training is an advantage. Experience of working as a swimming teacher and with our booking system BRP is an advantage. We also consider it desirable that you have experience of working with children and that you have good leadership skills. Swimming skills are a requirement and during the recruitment process you will have to undergo a work test consisting of falling in deep water and then swimming 200 meters of which 50 meters on your back and dive down to 4 m deep.
