Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Short-term stays are one of the measures in LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Certain Disabled Persons), which is intended to provide the child/young person with a change of environment and recreation, as well as relieving the burden on families. The activities aim to support individuals with disabilities and strengthen their ability to live an independent life. This is done by offering a change of environment and the opportunity for leisure activities, recreation and social interaction in a safe and homelike environment. We are now looking for a safe support assistant who creates calm in difficult situations. Your work tasks The assignment includes working together with other staff based on our business goal, to strengthen the ability to live an independent life. To be responsible, together with colleagues, for that the children/young people who stay at the short-term residence have a safe and meaningful stay. You will participate in the children's/young people's activities such as walks, crafts, table tennis and games. The work includes the usual household chores such as cooking, cleaning and washing up. You will also document and draw up implementation plans and have primary responsibility for one or more young people. Contact and cooperation with parents is an important part of the work. About you We are looking for you with education in health and care or children and leisure or other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience of working with different types of disabilities but mainly NPF diagnoses. You also have experience of working in situations of threat and violence. We would like you to have experience of working with children and young people. You need to have the ability to have a low-effective treatment as extroverted behavior can occur. As a person, you are self-motivated, stable, curious and confident. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We would like you to have a driver's license as we often go on excursions with our young people. But it is not a requirement. The working hours are day, evening, weekend and on-call.
