Älvans väg is located at Tomtebo in Umeå. Five users with various disabilities live at the home. The users live in their own apartments in the home and share common areas. The work involves promoting and striving for the users' independence on a daily basis and being helpful in life. The work includes both nursing work and usual household chores such as cleaning and cooking. It is sometimes a stressful job, so your ability to handle this is important. There are no furry animals in the home and there is no smoking. We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team! Your tasks You guide and support people with physical, mental and intellectual disabilities in their everyday lives. You work to enable the individual to participate in a functional everyday life and have a meaningful leisure and/or employment. Your approach is characterized by flexibility, continuity and security. You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. As we are now in a developing and challenging everyday life with our residents, you should enjoy working with continuous improvements and development at all levels. You will work on planning, executing, documenting, following up and evaluating individually and together with others. You are also expected to create and maintain structure. About you We would like to see that you have experience in nursing work and/or are a trained assistant nurse, but this is not a requirement. If you have experience or training in the areas of autism, pedagogy and / or threats and violence, it is an advantage. It is important to us that you are the right person in the right place! In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. As it can be stressful at times, you should be able to handle stress well and think quickly. You have a good ability to cooperate and have a professional approach to users, relatives and other actors around our users. You are educational, committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and to work with continuous improvements. Being solution-focused, curious, positive and enterprising is an important part of the job and the good working environment. Working hours are day/evening, every other weekend. The work includes transfers, lifting aids are used after delegation. Co-planning with other activities may occur. Interviews are ongoing and positions may be filled as they arise.
