Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction. Backenvägen 186 is a special accommodation within social psychiatry. 8 elderly users live at the accommodation. We are now looking for six support assistants who want to help restart the business. Four positions for day / evening / weekend and two positions for awake night. Your tasks You will support people with mental and physical disabilities in their daily lives. You will provide individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. Common tasks include care work, supporting with everyday chores, activities, personal hygiene and medicine. The work requires planning and being able to be educational and solution-focused as unexpected situations can arise. In everyday life, you work a lot to motivate and encourage the residents. In the workplace, we work with low-effective treatment as there are threats and violence, mainly verbal. About you We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse or who have other education that can be considered equivalent. We would like you to have experience of working in healthcare. It is an advantage if you have experience of working with the target group and if you have experience of low-effective treatment in threat and violence situations. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You are calm and confident, have good self-awareness and use a low-key approach. You work in a structured and professional manner in collaboration with the team, manager and other networks.
