Döbelnsgatan is a service home for people with intellectual disabilities who need support and help in their everyday lives. At present, seven users live in the home. We are now looking for a new employee to join our team! Your tasks You guide and support people with physical and intellectual disabilities in their everyday lives. Common tasks include supporting users with granted services such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, personal hygiene / nursing and medicine. You work in a long-term and goal-oriented way to create a safe home environment and a meaningful everyday life for our users. You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. You work to make the individual participate in their everyday life and have a meaningful leisure and/or employment. The work also includes record keeping, documentation and working goal-oriented with individual implementation plans to increase goal achievement. As a support assistant, you will also have contact with administrators, care interventions and authorities. In the workplace, there may be smoking, furry animals, heavy lifting and situations of threat and violence. Scheduled working hours day/evening/weekend/daytime. You will be expected to co-schedule with other activities as needed. About you Your approach is characterized by flexibility, continuity and security. You are easy to cooperate with others and have a professional approach to users, relatives and other stakeholders. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and to work towards set goals and continuous improvements. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Requirements: We are looking for you who are trained as a nurse, social worker or have another education that the employer considers equivalent We want you to have experience of working in disability care and/or in elderly care Meritorious: Experience of low-effective behavior (LAB) in connection with threat and violence situations Experience in motivational interviewing (MI) Experience in positive behavioral support (PBS) Experience in clarifying pedagogy Your application To ensure that the people invited to interview are those who best match what we are looking for, we use selection questions.
