Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Hoppets gränd is a service home according to LSS with a focus on intellectual disabilities. The business has a total of 12 apartments spread over two houses close to each other and offers support to people with cognitive and neuropsychiatric disabilities. The main location will be at Hoppets gränd but through co-planning, some of the working hours will also be located at the service homes on Frida Åslunds gränd and Storgatan. The user groups are the same as at Hoppets gränd. We are now looking for a support assistant to join our team! Your work tasks As a support assistant, you will support users in their everyday lives with granted efforts such as food, cleaning, laundry, personal care, transfers and planning of activities. You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence, to make the individual participate in their everyday life and to have a meaningful leisure and employment. We work primarily with positive behavioral support, clarifying pedagogy and low-effective treatment. You will plan, carry out, document, follow up and evaluate the various parts of the business within quality, individually and together with others. Threats and violence occur. There are furry animals in the activities, cats and dogs, so you should not be allergic. Scheduled working hours: day, evening, weekend and overnight. About you You are flexible, have a good ability to cooperate and a professional approach to users, relatives and other actors around the users. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and to work with continuous improvements. It is also important that you are empathetic and able to put yourself in the shoes of others. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Requirements Nursing and care program, child and leisure program, social work program or other education that the employer considers equivalent Experience of working in the field of intellectual disabilities Meritorious Experience of flame-effective treatment in situations of threat and violence Training in clarifying pedagogy and/or positive behavioral support.
