Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Istidsgatan 27 is a service home within LSS. It houses 14 residents with intellectual and physical disabilities of varying ages. All users live in their own apartments and share common areas. We are now looking for a new colleague for our accommodation - are you the one we are looking for? Your work tasks You guide and provide support and care to people with intellectual and physical disabilities in their everyday lives. You work in a long-term and goal-oriented manner to create a safe home environment and a meaningful everyday life and leisure time for our users. You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. Common tasks are to support users with granted efforts such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, personal hygiene / nursing, medicine and social activities. The work also includes record-keeping, documentation in Treserva and working goal-oriented with individual implementation plans to increase goal achievement. In the workplace, there may be smoking, heavy lifting and situations of threat and violence. To create security and stability for those who live with us and make threat and violence situations manageable, it is important to follow procedures and to collaborate within the work group. Working hours are day/evening/weekend/daytime. You will be expected to be able to co-plan with other organizations when needed. About you As a person, you are calm and confident and find it easy to follow routines. You have good cooperation skills and have a professional approach to users, relatives and other actors. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and to work towards set goals and continuous improvements. As a person, you find it easy to create and maintain structure and contribute to the development of the business. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability! Requirements: We are looking for you who are trained as a nurse, social worker or have another education that the employer considers equivalent We want you to have experience of working in disability care and/or in elderly care Meritorious: Experience of low-effective behavior (LAB) in connection with threat and violence situations Experience with the ESL (Independent Living) method Experience with the MI method (Motivational Interviewing) Your application The selection questions are designed to assess your suitability for the post based on the specific requirements.
