Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Ordinary housing is organized in the disability care and here you will find short-term supervision, short-term housing, relief service and home care and the National High School for children and young people. We have daily activities/employment, housing support and addiction recovery teams for adults over 18. Cultural daily activities will start in the fall of 2025. The focus will be on culture where activities in drama, art and creation are in focus. Here you will meet individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or neuropsychiatric diagnoses. Geographically, the business is located on Backenvägen. Now we are looking for you who want to work in a flexible role in Daily Activities - are you our next support assistant? Your work tasks You will supervise and support people with intellectual and mental disabilities. Your mission is to provide individual, social and practical support to strengthen the individual's own abilities and create conditions for independence and meaningful employment. We work with inspiration from Supported Employment and with a low-effective approach. The role of support assistant includes social documentation such as work with implementation plans, record keeping and more. Co-planning may take place between our different activities. About you You have good interpersonal skills and a professional approach. As a person, you have a positive and confident approach and can handle different situations, and have the ability to see and stimulate development - even in small things. You can structure, plan, motivate and support individuals in achieving their goals. You are confident working in groups as well as individually and have a creative ability to create tasks and group activities. To be able to communicate with participants, relatives and colleagues, and to receive medication, you must have a good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Requirements: Health and social care program, social work program or other education deemed equivalent by the employer Experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or neuropsychiatric diagnoses Merits: Experience or training in drama, arts or similar fields Training in clarifying pedagogy Good computer skills and experience in administrative tasks Experience of Supported Employment, motivational interviewing and low-threshold approach Experience of having been involved in the start-up of a new business To ensure that the people invited to interview are the best match for what we are looking for, we use selection questions.
