Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction. We are now looking for 1-2 support assistants for our team at the group home at Löftets gränd 1. The home is a special accommodation according to LSS. The home has both elderly people with multiple illnesses and people with intellectual disabilities. Your work tasks As a support assistant, you will support users in their everyday lives with granted services such as food, cleaning, laundry, personal care / shower, transfers and planning of activities. In connection with some transfers and nursing tasks, there is double staffing. You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. You work to make the individual participate in their everyday life and have a meaningful leisure and/or employment. The assignment is an independent job, but in close collaboration with the user, colleagues and relevant cooperation partners. About you We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse, social worker or have another education that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience of working in disability care or elderly care. We consider it an advantage if you have experience of dealing with people with intellectual disabilities. We value a professional approach that includes humility, patience and flexibility. The work places high demands on the ability to work both independently and together with colleagues, as well as to take own initiatives and be driven. We also want a commitment and openness to development work both in your own workplace and in the entire field of activity. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Working hours are day, evening and weekend. Co-planning may take place between our operations.
