Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Magistervägen 1 is a service home according to LSS with a focus on intellectual disabilities. The business currently consists of 10 apartments distributed in four houses in close proximity to each other. As a staff member, you work from a shared apartment, where joint activities can be organized and where there is also an office / emergency room. The individual support to the user is mainly provided in the individual's own apartment. Your tasks As a support assistant, you support the user in their everyday life with granted services such as food, shopping, cleaning, laundry, personal care, transfers and planning of activities. You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. You work to make the individual participate in their everyday life and have a meaningful leisure and/or employment. The work also includes documentation, record keeping, work with implementation plans and medication management. As a support assistant, you will be in contact with administrators, care services and authorities. Smoking, heavy lifting, furry animals and threats and violence may occur. Magistervägen is part of a pilot project on geographic co-planning together with a number of other organizations. This means that you will have your main location at Magistervägen, but some of your working hours will be located at other activities that are also part of the project. The schedule is set in an 8-week cycle and the working hours are day, evening, weekend and daytime. About you As a person, you are calm and confident, committed and have good self-awareness. You work in a structured and professional manner in collaboration with the team, the manager and the rest of the network. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing. You also need to have good computer skills as it is an important part of the work.
