Ordinary housing is organized in the disability care and here you will find short-term supervision, short-term housing, relief service and home care and the National High School for children and young people. Daily activities/employment, housing support and dependency treatment teams for adults over 18.
About the activities
Short-term supervision is an extension of the school's leisure time for young people over the age of 13 who need supervision when their guardians are working or studying. Our activities are located in the West of the city, at Carlslund and at Ersboda. For these services, placement at one unit is primary, but work can occur at all units.
We are now looking for three support assistants for our operations:
- Dragonskolans korttidstillsyn, 75%
- Carlslund short-term supervision, 75%
- Carlslunds korttidstillsyn and Kandidatvägen's short-term accommodation, the position is 90% and is mostly covered by daytime. Cooperation takes place with the short-term accommodation, which means work about one evening a week and one weekend day every four weeks.
Your tasks
You will work in a staff group that supports young people with various disabilities to create a meaningful leisure time after school. The work involves providing individual, social and practical support to enable young people's own development and independence.
The support takes place both indoors and outdoors and includes the planning and implementation of activities. Cooperation and communication with home and school is an important part of the work.
Co-planning takes place between our activities within the Disability Services.
About you
You have a way of working that is characterized by flexibility, structure and security. We are looking for you who have a good ability to work independently and with others and want to be involved in developing the business. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Requirements:
Trained nurse, childcare worker or other training that the employer considers equivalent.
Experience of working in disability care or adapted school.
Meritorious:
Experience in low-threshold intervention in situations of threat and violence
Experience in alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
Other requirements
According to the law on suitability control, an extract from the police's criminal record must be presented upon employment.
